Activities - 2017
The Committee approved three projects for the current Rotary year.

Hawksbay Campus School, Karachi, Pakistan - sponsored by Rotarian Fay Campbell - clubs in Rotary District 7040 were asked for a financial contribution to be put towards the purchase of educational supports, teacher training, and upgrade of existing school facilities for the Hawksbay Campus School. Though the school is located in one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Karachi, its challenging location is surpassed by the potential of the students whose learning and progress could be enriched significantly by providing foundational materials, skill materials for early childhood learning, sport facility development, improvements to school facilities and school fittings.  This effort is part of Rotary Pakistan's Total Literacy and Quality Education Program - $1,000

Kasese District, Uganda - supporting people with disabilities, in support of a project sponsored by the Rotary Club of West Ottawa - $2,000

Kenyan Ebenezer Children's Home Project - in support of project sponsored by C.J. (Cijay) Shah of the Rotary Club of Toronto  - $2000.

Other - In addition, the committee agreed to tentatively allocate $2,500 from next year's budget for the Malawi Aids project. A Rotary District Grant may be processed to match our club's contribution.
