This year the 65th Rotary Adventure in Citizenship program held May 3rd to May 6th in Ottawa, Ontario. 201 young Canadians across the nation were sponsored by Canadian Rotary Clubs. High school students between the ages of 16 and 18 years had the opportunity to appreciate Canada's diversity and explore the Canadian identity. The participants were phenomenal and appreciative of the experience. Our Adventure team, headed up by Charles Melchers, did an absolutely wonderful job on all segments of the program. Enjoy a few quotes pulled from our AIC 2015 Facebook page;

- Thank you to everyone who made this experience so amazing!

- Guys, I had the most wonderful time in Ottawa with all of you. I started missing you the minute I stepped off the bus at the airport. Honestly, we started planning a reunion right then and there! I'd hate nothing more than to lose touch with all of you wonderful people,

- Thank you to everyone who made this last week so special! I'm so happy that I met all of you. I haven't left Ottawa yet but I'm already sad that it's over

- I had such a great week with all of you guys. You are all truly inspirational in every way

- Is it just me having AIC depression?? I feel like it will last for a while....

- Just want to say a huge thank you to everybody for voting me in as the Prime Minister. I am extremely honoured and I promise that I will represent your views at the speech tomorrow. Getting to know so many of you was an awesome experience and I hope we will keep in touch in the coming years. All of you are Canada's next generation of leaders and I know each and every one of you will create big change.

- Thank you for everything you guys have taught me. I’m blessed to have shared this experience with all of you, but at the same time, you guys WERE the experience.

- This trip has really fueled my love for politics, and it's definitely achieved its goal of instilling a sense of Canadian pride in me.after rooming with an Ontarian, I’ve concluded that they're really weird. Also, bagged milk is scandalous.

- Ok team...who's ready for May 2-4 trip back next year?

- I've honestly had the most amazing experience with all of you over the past couple of days. I cannot thank Rotary Club enough for this amazing experience!

- On my way home after leaving the program today I bumped into former Canadian Prime Minister Joe Clark. PM Clark himself is a former Adventurer and he told me that Adventures in Citizenship was an amazing experience for him. It was his first opportunity to visit Ottawa and played a role in sparking his interest in politics and serving his country. He was very happy to hear AIC is still going strong and sends his best wishes to all of this year’s Adventurers! Posted by Rotaractor Mark Donoghue.
